Nia Australia is committed to providing quality products, events and services. This policy outlines your rights and our obligations under Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.

  1. Australian Consumer Law Rights

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

  1. Digital Products (Downloads & Online Content)

Due to the nature of digital products:

  • All digital downloads, online training materials and digital resources are non-refundable once accessed or delivered, except where required by law.

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect selection
  • Failure to use or download the product
  • Incompatibility with your device or software (unless the product is defective)

If a digital product is faulty or inaccessible due to an error on our part, we will provide a replacement or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

  1. Event Tickets and Workshops

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to Nia Australia by email at . Requests made via phone, social media or in person will not be accepted.

Refunds will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

In addition, refunds may be considered where:

  • The event or workshop is cancelled by Nia Australia
  • The event or workshop is rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new date
  • An extenuating circumstance (such as a verified medical incident) prevents attendance, subject to approval

Cancellation Timeframes

  • Where written cancellation is received at least 21 days prior to the event or workshop commencement date, a refund will be issued minus a $50 administration fee (for tickets priced at $50 or more)
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations received 20 days or less prior to commencement, except where required by Australian Consumer Law
  • No refunds apply once the event or workshop has commenced, except where required by Australian Consumer Law

Alternative Options

Where appropriate, we may offer one of the following instead of a refund:

  • Credit towards a future event or workshop
  • Transfer of registration to another participant (subject to approval)

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Except where required by Australian Consumer Law, refunds will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind
  • Failure to attend (including no-shows)
  • Late arrival or early departure
  • Personal scheduling conflicts
  • Travel, accommodation or third-party expenses
  1. Training Programs and Instructor Courses

Training programs and instructor courses delivered under Nia HQ authorisation are processed and paid for via the official Nia HQ website. As Nia Australia does not collect payment for these programs, refunds, cancellations and payment disputes are governed by the Nia HQ refund policy.

For any training programs administered directly by Nia Australia (if applicable):

  • Refunds are generally not provided once training has commenced
  • Partial refunds are not available for non-attendance
  • Exceptional circumstances may be assessed on a case-by-case basis
  1. Membership Fees

Membership fees are generally non-refundable once activated.

Refunds may be considered where:

  • A technical error occurred
  • Duplicate payments were made
  • Services were not delivered as described
  1. Physical Merchandise (Online & Event Sales)

Returns Eligibility

Physical products may be returned if:

  • The item is faulty
  • The item is damaged in transit
  • The incorrect item was supplied

Change-of-mind returns may be accepted at our discretion provided that:

  • The item is unused
  • It is returned within 14 days of receipt

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return postage costs for change-of-mind returns
  • Nia Australia will cover return postage for faulty or incorrect items

Sale or clearance items are final sale unless faulty.

  1. How to Request a Refund or Return
