Nia Moving to Heal classes support people dealing with a range of issues, such as illness, injury, trauma, addiction, and depression to experience mindfulness and movement as medicine. With inspiring music, you will be guided to slow down and personalise movement for your body’s way. It is a positive and conscious path to feeling better. Students who wish to participate while seated in a chair are fully supported.

Class Notes

Tuesday’s 45 minute Nia Moving to Heal class is ideally suited to those participants recovering from illness or injury and those young at heart. As always in Nia you have a choice to stand or dance in a chair. The class concludes with a guided relaxation.

Nia Community Members /Licensed Teachers $17

Casual $20/18 concession

Wear comfy clothes. Nia is practised barefoot.  If there are physical reasons not to practise barefoot, soft sole shoes can be worn. Bring water, a yoga mat and a willingness to connect with your body. Ample 2 hour car parking adjacent to the church. Enter via Duncan Street side gate.
