Biography

Jen has always been drawn to well-being, aligning her lifestyle to mind-body fitness over her life, having been a student of yoga, tai chi and meditation. Attending her first Nia class, she was delighted with the health and enjoyment benefits she found.

Attending Nia classes as a participant for 2 years Jen then went on to train to become a teacher herself in 2015, undertaking and successfully completing the Nia White Belt training.

Jen has completed Nia White and Blue Belt trainings and has also expanded to complete Nia 5 Stages training, a practice designed to facilitate optimal alignment, improved function and comfort in the body.

Classes run during ACT Government school term times.  Nia is a very inclusive exercise practice.  Come and try it out. No experience necessary and new people are welcome to join in any time of term. 

 

 

Pricing and Details

Pricing: Introductory 3 class pass $40, Casual $20, 5 class pass $85, 10 class pass $150.

There is no requirement to ring before coming along to a class – just turn up a few minutes prior to class time within ACT Government term dates or look on the Facebook pages for any updates.

For Nia feel free to wear any exercise or comfortable clothing that makes you feel good and free to move. Bring along a water bottle and a towel or yoga mat if you have one. Nia is designed to be practised barefoot. If there are physical reasons not to practise barefoot, soft sole shoes can be worn.

Nia’s unique blend of martial arts, dance and mindfulness gives you an energising cardio workout that benefits body, mind, emotions and spirit. You’ll be guided to listen to your body, moving with sensations of aliveness, pleasure and ease.
