Classic Nia – Dance Fitness Classes – Avalon

Classic Nia is a joyful, cardio dance workout to music.  This class incorporates simple movement patterns and is designed to condition your body and bring up feelings of inner joy and connection. Nia fitness classes draw from 52 basic moves which are based on the intelligent design of the body. These moves lubricate joints, strengthen and stretch muscles and promote stability, flexibility and agility. You will step out of a Classic Nia class feeling energised, mentally clear and balanced. Suitable for beginners.

Gentle Nia – Moving to Heal Dance Class – Avalon

Gentle Nia is great if you prefer a slower-paced movement practice. This class uses the same joyful music and moves as Classic Nia but with less physical intensity. Gentle Nia is taught at a level 1, the most intrinsic, close to the body movements with an emphasis on moving with pleasure, improving strength, mobility, flexibility and  balance. This class can be done standing or sitting and is suitable for beginners.

Mandy is a Blue Belt and Moving to Heal Nia Teacher and Certified Trauma Sensitive Movement Practitioner.
