Biography
Stepping into my first Nia class while on holiday in Ballina in 2015 was definitely with a beginner’s mind. I had never heard of this practice let alone know how to pronounce it. Dance was mentioned so I was in!
10 years later, I have a deep gratitude for this mind, body, spirit lifestyle practice that has given me so much. A workout that conditions the body, clears the mind and taps into universal joy! My personal healing, body awareness, positive and healthy communication with myself have been life changing for me.
Diving into Nia through trainings offered has enhanced and deepened my practice. I have completed my White Belt (twice), Art of Teaching, Moving to Heal, Move IT trainings, the Share program along with various workshops. Most recently, September 2025 I completed the Blue Belt training, the Art of Communication, Nia really is so much more than Dance.
To quote Debbie Rosas, the co-founder of Nia – “the relationship you build with your body is the most important one you will ever build” this really resonated with me!
I commenced teaching Nia in April 2025. For myself, Nia is not only a passion, it’s also a beautiful lifestyle practice!
