I was introduced to Nia in 2009 and was instantly captivated by the joy I experienced in each dance routine. I was inspired to see my previous dance experience in Contact Improvisation, Butoh, Five Rhythms and Body Cartography was captured in Nia. I loved that this movement form was accessible for everybody.
Nia gives freedom to move with improvisation and choreography and stay fit by maintaining awareness on mobility, strength, agility, stability and flexibility I felt Nia was the most sophisticated and fun form of movement for our time.
I wanted to learn it and I wanted to share it.
My primary focus for all classes is the joy of movement. Happy bodies is the key to holistic fitness and maintaining youth.
