Baby and Me Nia classes
Step in to a fitness class you can do WITH your baby (for babies six weeks old to active crawling).
Nia is grounded barefoot movement to great music that is both energizing and calming for your body, mind, emotions and spirit.
You will be guided to move in a way that suits YOUR body. Enjoy the skin you’re in now, and find a healthy way to regain your body tone, strength and shape through choosing the sensation of comfort and pleasure.
Meet other mums and deepen your connection with your baby who watches from the pram, or moves with you in a sling.
Take time during the class to respond to your baby’s unique needs including breastfeeding, bottle feeding and changing.
Each week Maria will share from her experience in healthy bonding and infant brain development.
Tired mums and unsettled babies are very welcome. Come as you are.
What to bring: Wear loose comfortable clothing for freedom of movement and floorplay. You may wish to bring a sling and/or pram, and a floor rug for your baby.
Date: Mondays 9.00 - 10.15 am (4 week recurring programs commencing 5th March 2012)

Location: South Brisbane Sailing Club (SBSC), Orleigh Park, Hill End Terrace WEST END, Brisbane QLD.
Parking: Street parking. There is a ramp for pram access to the building
Cost: $75 for 4 weeks (one adult and baby)
About Maria
Maria is a Brown Belt Nia Instructor and Parent-Infant Health Practitioner at POSSUMS clinic UQ Healthcare, Annerley Brisbane. She has previously practiced as a Midwife, and has many years experience in Child and Youth Mental Health and Paediatric Nursing.
She brings her nurturing spirit, playfulness and genuine love of people along with her expertise on health and healing to her Nia classes and to her life.
