I am a friendly, nature loving woman who has been "Nia" dancing all my life!  Dance, movement to the rhythms of music and sensory awareness are an intrinsic part of my soul.  As a child I was disciplined into ballet tuition that was quite regimented but a way of combating my clumsiness as I often fell over. As a teenager I began to dance wildly in the living room to different genres of music, as an adult I began to experiment with different styles of dance: swing, jazz, Bollywood, belly and burlesque until I found my forte in my forties!  Nia Technique!!!  

After a year of masterful tuition with the beautiful Brisbane Black Belt, Sophie Marsh, I undertook the Nia White Belt Intensive with the amazing pocket rocket Nia guru, Winalee Zeeb in April, 2011.

The principles of Nia are so intelligently incorporated into a mind, body, spirit dynamic blending dance arts, martial arts, music appreciation and notation, anatomy knowledge and meditation that activate multiple intelligences.

The Nia White Belt Intensive, reinforced my belief in the joy of teaching and Nia technique taught me how to walk correctly so I "tweak" or self correct potential accidents and float around lightly, conscious of my body and mind movements. I am rejuvenated and ready to share the joy of movement with any children or adults that are attracted to good health and wellbeing.

I love that Nia is a global tribe of sensational people. What a relief it is, to find intuitive people in an information overloaded and complex world!  Thank you to the creators of Nia Technique, the trainers and fabulous teachers that are in this transformational community. 

These inspirational Nia practioners have inspired me to open the first Nia class in the city of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia in 2012!

Ildika brings Nia to Ipswich!
Venue:  The Old Courthouse
Corner East and Roderick Street, Ipswich.
Thursday evenings 6:00 to 7:00 pm (excluding school and public holidays)
Plenty of street parking and free council car park opposite the Old Courthouse.
