Nia is designed to be practised barefoot. If there are physical reasons not to practise barefoot, soft sole shoes can be worn.

Classic Nia is a joyful, low impact, movement class inspired by soul-stirring music. Nia’s unique blend of martial arts, dance and mindfulness gives you an energising cardio workout that benefits – body, mind, emotions, and spirit. You will be guided to listen to your body and practice being with sensations of pleasure and ease. Adaptable for all ages and fitness levels. Nia meets you where you’re at and invites you to move in your own body’s way.

Nia 5 Stages is a richly-layered moving meditation which creates deeper body-awareness and self-healing. In this floor-based practice, you will be guided to move through the five stages of embryonic, creeping, crawling, standing and walking in your body’s way. Re-align and energise your body and calm your nervous system by connecting with the healer within.  What does it look like?

Pricing for ALL Sophie’s Paddington, Chelmer and West End classes: 
New to Nia? Come and try 3 classes for $30 (valid 1 month)
Casual $20 / $18 concession 
10 class pass $160 (valid 4 months)
5 class pass $85 (valid 4 months)
unlimited monthly $160 (valid 1 calendar month) – up to 8 classes per week!
30 minute FloorPlay $10 or use your unlimited pass

No bookings required, join anytime, everybody welcome!  There are no terms as these weekly classes run throughout the year, except on Public Holidays. The venue is air-conditioned!

Parking:  There are limited off-street parks outside the studio. Street parking is available on LaTrobe Tce and Ellena St, or park for free in the Paddington Central complex 1 block away (corner of Morris and LaTrobe)

NB. No Public Holiday classes on 28 January or Easter Monday.
